More specifically, the Committee aims to:<\/p>\n<ul class='list-reset-disc'>\n<li>inform patients of their rights and obligations<\/li>\n<li>promote continuous improvement of the quality of care and services<\/li>\n<li>defend the interests of patients<\/li>\n<li>support and assist patients when filing a complaint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><strong>Patients\u2019 Committee Members<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The committee consists of patients who are dedicated and concerned with the well-being of their peers. These include:<\/p>\n<ul class='list-reset-disc'>\n<li>Catherine Liu-Castanet, President, President and representative of the Planetree Quality and Innovation Strategic Committee<\/li>\n<li>Francine Robert, Vice-president and treasurer<\/li>\n<li>Leonard Sauv\u00e9, Treasurer,<\/li>\n<li>Ginette S\u00e9vigny, Member<\/li>\n<li>Mirella Richard, Resource person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Activities<\/h2>\n<p>The Patients\u2019 Committee is involved in making Villa Medica a place where the well-being and quality of life of its patients remain a priority and a reality. Throughout the year, the committee is involved in several initiatives:<\/p>\n<ul class='list-reset-disc'>\n<li>participates in several committees, which allows members to take part in some of their decisions<\/li>\n<li>collects the comments and\/or recommendations of other patients<\/li>\n<li>helps patients file a complaint regarding the patient-centered approach put forward by Villa Medica<\/li>\n<li>is consulted during visits from the Conseil qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois d\u2019agr\u00e9ment (accreditation council), and from representatives of the Quebec Planetree network, whose aim is to make continuous improvements to the process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Catherine Liu-Castanet, President<\/strong><br \/>\nUsers&#8217; Committee<br \/>\n514-288-8201, extension 4362<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:cuvm.vmed@ssss.gouv.qc.ca\">cuvm.vmed@ssss.gouv.qc.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mission The main goal of the Patients\u2019 Committee is to defend the interests of Villa Medica patients, individually or as a whole.
