For a second year, a race for the group Des mots dans le vent<\/a> is organized and the Villa Medica Rehabilitation Hospital is proud to support this initiative. This annual event raises funds for the group, which offers visual arts and dance workshops to people with aphasia.<\/p>\n

The race will take place on Saturday, May 27<\/strong> , at Maisonneuve Park in Montreal. Registrants can run a distance of 10 km, 5 km or 1 km. It is also possible to do the 1 km and 5 km journeys on foot. Children are welcome!<\/p>\n

Villa Medica promotes the health of both its staff and its users: the establishment’s Human Resources Department will give $5 to each employee registered for the race.<\/p>\n

The group Des parole dans le vent offers visual arts and dance workshops for people with aphasia.<\/p><\/div>\n

Words in the Wind<\/a> brings together aphasic people interested in the arts. Aphasia, which most often occurs following a stroke, can affect speech, comprehension, reading and writing. Since its beginnings in 2002, this organization has not only contributed to breaking the isolation of people with aphasia, but also to raising awareness and informing the population about aphasia and its daily impact.<\/p>\n
