Procedure for submitting a file to the HRVM Research Institutional Suitability Committee

The mandate of the CCIR (Committee for Institutional Suitability for Research) is to ensure that, beyond ethical and scientific considerations and constraints, the administrative, financial and legal conditions that must govern intramural research in compliance with human rights of the user are respected.

The CCIR must also validate that the clinical and material resources of the HRVM required by the projects are compatible with the capacities of the services requested at the time of the request.

The CCIR has a duty to respect internal and external institutional criteria for the evaluation of any research project.

The HRVM’s institutional suitability committee will evaluate your project when the principal researcher or his representative has sent the following documents:

1. Short popular summary of the proposed research project (1 paragraph written for the attention of potential participants: objective, duration, general procedure), in all the languages useful for the implementation of the project

2. Suggested roles of the research team and Villa Medica staff at the different phases of the project (e.g. recruitment, implementation, data collection and analysis, etc.)
3. Complete protocol of the proposed research project

4. Copy of acceptance by a recognized scientific evaluation and ethics committee (e.g. CÉR, CRIR)

5. Copy of the information and consent form, in all the languages useful for the implementation of the project

6. Copy of financial commitment from granting agency or institution, if applicable

7. Principal Investigator Curriculum Vitae

The assessment of the institutional suitability of your project will take place in committee of the whole at the next meeting of the CCIR indicated on the schedule. Calendar to download

The research and teaching coordinator remains available before submitting your project to guide you in submitting your application. If uncertainties are raised about the feasibility of your project at HRVM, the CCIR will be consulted to determine how your request can be adapted to the expectations of the institutional evaluation of HRVM.

Once accepted, your project will be monitored by the research and teaching coordinator to ensure its effective implementation and the implementation of knowledge transfer.
