Message from the President and Chief Executive Officer dated October 15, 2020

To the families of clients hospitalized at the Villa Medica Rehabilitation Hospital (HRVM)

Following changes in directives from the Ministry of Health and Social Services, in connection with the community spread of COVID, we are modifying our procedures giving access to the establishment, because we believe in the importance of the presence of loved ones.

Families will be prohibited from visiting after October 16. In addition, each customer will be invited to propose 2 names of relatives. These relatives, after training on sanitary measures (hand washing, respect for distancing, wearing of PPE) will be considered as caregivers (PPA) and will have access to room visits.

Each caregiver will be able to come 1 day out of 2 in turn. If a client has only one caregiver, that caregiver will be able to visit each day .

In order to obtain the names of relatives and to carry out training, we will temporarily close access to visits on October 17 and 18, 2020 .

Only people who are already caregivers will have access to the establishment during these 2 days.

Starting Monday, October 19, visits will be by appointment at the following times: Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For the weekend of October 24 and 25 , we will get back to you quickly with the selected beaches.

Clients in preventive isolation will also have the possibility of being visited by caregivers, by appointment.

For any questions and to make an appointment, we invite you to contact 514 288 8201 ext. 4633.

If you cannot come to Villa Medica and would like us to organize virtual meetings, we will be happy to respond to your request. To do this, send your request to the same number or by making an appointment online .

This situation exists for you and for our teams.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
